Seventh-level True Name Wizard under the Noren Workshop, holding no title, who issues Jie Ming's conscription mission to the Dragonman plane.1 Subjugator and governor of that plane, where he broke the bloodline hierarchy with wizard civilization's "ability above all" rule.23 Still active after the capture of Suoyuan, and courting Jie Ming's resistance knowledge.1011

Relationships

  • Jie Ming: Mission contractor; envies his fate-type knowledge and pays him with a Reflection Dimension knowledge crystal.1610
  • Suoyuan: The Guardian Dragon he defeated in three moves on arrival; later his failed research partner and captive.489
  • Clark: The one benchmark above him in Jie Ming's danger rating.2
  • Anton Buchanan: Intermediary for Jie Ming's resistance knowledge.11

Background

Slender, with deep-brown eyes; amber law light bends space toward him, and Jie Ming rates his danger far above an ordinary seventh-level but below Mentor Clark.26 He has stayed at the seventh level for more than ten thousand years.6 He says he subjugated the Dragonman plane over a thousand years ago, defeating the Guardian Dragon head-on in three moves.24

Abilities

Ability Acquired Notes
Amber spatial law Ch7122 Bends space toward him; forms a bulwark that blocks star-system-vaporizing dragon breath.29
Plane-scale arrays Ch7186 Lifts every Dragonman town into floating shielded refuges; teleports several hundred floating cities off the plane.67
Mental energy handling Ch722-7239 Lifts Jie Ming and swings him into Suoyuan's head.9

Timeline

  • Ch711-713: Issues the conscription mission, asks for resistance Dragonmen alive because of the race's birth rate, and is shown as the plane's governor.123
  • Ch717: Jie Ming deduces he outsourced the hunt to drive the concept of "wizards" into the Dragonmen and flush out any hidden backer.5
  • Ch718-720: Appears at the Light of Sacrifice, lifts the towns into refuges, evacuates the cities and leads a dozen wizards out through the plane barrier.67
  • Ch721-723: Offers Suoyuan a cooperative research agreement, then fights it beside Jie Ming when the offer fails.89
  • Ch724-728: Pays Jie Ming with a knowledge crystal, notes that only eighth-levels seriously wait at the Reflection Dimension's edge, and seeks his resistance knowledge through Anton Buchanan.1011
