Overview

The Alliance's ship-plane looks like a wild plane whose ecosystems hide an underlying order.³ Its "nano flood" is pitched as cannon-fodder drowning; in the war with the parallel wizard civilization the Flood Star Ring becomes a silvery band holding back the tide.⁶ Its wizards can turn into torrents of energy to force their way into a fight.⁷ Its old fellows keep laboratories "at the bottom of the trunk".¹¹
