Chapters 601-700

The four major powers are absorbing the wizards of a newly discovered parallel world through a dueling arena and counterpart-contract system, and Jie Ming is a scavenger on the sidelines of that process. The Myriad Realms Alliance is about to move against them.

Arcs

A. The Myriad Realms Alliance War (Ch601-610)

  • Walder, a parallel-world eighth-level who wants his counterpart dead, sells the wizards' position to the Myriad Realms Alliance, a plane-devouring "liberation" alliance led by a ninth-level Leader.1
  • The Alliance invades with hundreds of millions of creatures and tens of millions of eighth-levels, and the four powers' roughly 100,000 eighth-levels soundly beat them.2
  • A soul-discipline wizard has infiltrated the Alliance command and cut off its retreat.2
  • Jie Ming stays a bystander and loots corpses into his inner world to feed the Black Giants.3
  • The Leader appears in person, and the Crimson Court's eighth-levels fight over who gets to beat it.4
  • The Leader blood-sacrifices every plane it holds to summon a God of Chaos, which the wizards were waiting for all along.4
  • Both ninth-levels are captured alive, and the parallel world is fully absorbed.5
  • At the rewards ceremony Jie Ming receives 15 billion high-level military merit, ownership of ten planes and open access to the parallel world's Core Database, while David receives 12 billion and ten planes.5

B. Infernal Sulfur Plane Build-Up and the Void Refinement Breakthrough (Ch611-623)

  • Ten years later, the plane's integration is complete, and all ten-billion-plus Black Giants evolve at once through a genetic overhaul that uses the parallel world's biological-modification techniques.6
  • The first Essence Gold Dao Soldier appears, undying through the Incense Fire Divine Dao and able to cultivate on its own.7
  • Only ten Dao Soldiers exist after a century, because Imperial Flow Paste is a bottleneck.8
  • Jie Ming realizes his comprehension is not enough to grasp the Dao the normal way at Spirit Transformation and that he is no peerless genius.9
  • His prepared workaround is the Void Refinement route through the Five Aggregates Rainbow Mirror, which is reforged to its Third Turn.10
  • He chooses the Self-Sovereign True Body Sutra and advances to Void Refinement.11
  • His Senior Sister Viola visits, savages his Nest modification plan and shows him what real genius looks like.12
  • At Void Refinement perfection, his thousand-meter dark-gold two-faced dharma body becomes his true body, and his inner world expands tenfold to plane scale.13
  • The next step is to advance toward the Dao Integration Realm.14

C. Austin's Miniature Glass Garden (Ch624-635)

  • Jie Ming studies Dao Integration, whose danger is Dao Transformation, being assimilated by the laws and vanishing into a natural phenomenon.15
  • He needs reference beings deeply fused with the world's rules, so he takes one of 1,000 slots in eighth-level Great Wizard Austin's mission.15
  • Austin caps all output at third-level inside his garden plane.16
  • Jie Ming joins eight sixth-level wizards in a town where a finger in a salt jar turns families' kidneys into salted meat at a conceptual level.17
  • A second Strange, children's graffiti that rewrites reality, twists the Curse Witch's arm.18
  • The wizards drop the output cap and flip the table, and the Graffiti Strange targets Jie Ming, the only one without a Law Solidification Domain.19
  • Jie Ming takes the hit, learns the Graffiti Strange's nature and crushes it into a ball with his true body's power.20
  • Jie Ming takes the whole Salty Finger and the eight others split the graffiti, and Austin opens a rift to the real Strange plane as the reward.21
  • Austin sees through Jie Ming's disguise, widens the rift for his thousand-meter form and says he has high hopes for him.21

D. The Strange Plane (Mist Capital) (Ch636-676)

  • Jie Ming soul-searches bandits for the language and currency of a night-swallowed wilderness.22
  • Eric, a poor young man in Mist Capital's old district, becomes a new viewpoint character.23
  • Jie Ming sets up as the owner of a used bookstore with a basement black clinic and sells optimized gene drugs at exactly plus 5 percent success rate as bait for the Official Spirit Medium Association.24
  • Association agents Harding and Dirk begin watching him and quietly protect him from muggers.25
  • He places Micro-Light Eyes, a new detection tool, on everyone.26
  • The Association's capture of the Shadow Thief is wrecked by black-robed cultists and a shark monster, and a mole is inside the Association.27
  • Jie Ming tracks and captures the Shadow Thief himself.28
  • The cult releases the Rift Dweller to find the Thief; it attacks Jie Ming in bed, and he seals it in a nanometer spatial rift.29
  • He fuses the Thief and the Dweller on a stone platform at sea into a Catastrophe Grade Shadow Strange.30
  • Harding recruits him as a cooperating researcher, which solves his materials problem.31
  • The cult leader is revealed to be Professor Victor Raine, a gentle Association lecturer.32
  • After the Ghost Ship attacks the docks, the Association assaults the psychiatric hospital sub-space, and Jie Ming tags along to loot low-grade Stranges.33
  • Victor, fused with the Blood Net, teleports the Association's three strongest away, gives Jie Ming his black notebook and asks that the perfected fusion technology go to this world's people.34
  • Jie Ming kills Victor with one punch that blasts a blue hole in Mist Capital's eternal fog.35
  • A hidden rival wizard, a short round-faced old man, concedes the city and leaves.36
  • Jie Ming asks Eric whether he would like to become a Spirit Medium.37
  • Ten years later, Eric is Dr. Eric of the Noren Clinic with four Stranges sealed in him, and Jie Ming seals a fifth.38
  • The sky turns dark purple with writhing black veins.39
  • Austin announces that he is fusing most of the plane's Stranges into his own life form, that Destruction Grade Stranges will spawn, and that all wizards are drafted as stabilizers.40
  • Jie Ming leaves Eric a hidden box, reveals his true form and departs via Great Void Step, and Eric tells Harding "Gone."40
  • A half-month's flight brings him to Hollow City, a Destruction Grade city-type Strange where seventh-level Great Wizards and many sixth-levels gather.41
  • A mirror maze produces a Replica of Jie Ming with all his knowledge, and he holds a discourse on the Dao with it instead of destroying it.42
  • The Replica voluntarily merges into him, and his brow mark becomes a real third eye, which is the last piece of the puzzle before Dao Integration.43
  • He trades an Anti-Magic Disk solution for a share of the sealed city core, and he gets a third.44
  • At the fissure he burns Victor's notebook, saying he has left the seeds and has done the favor the Professor asked.45
  • In an epilogue, Eric retrieves Jie Ming's black box and leaves the bookstore with a Spirit Medium healer on a life-or-death commission.45

E. Dao Integration and the 300-Year Skip (Ch677-681)

  • Jie Ming returns to the Infernal Sulfur Plane and attempts Dao Integration on the altar, where he dissolves into nothingness and forgets himself.46
  • Tens of billions of praying Black Giants catch him at the last moment.46
  • He wakes as a Dao Integration cultivator and discovers that three hundred years have passed.47
  • The plane is now a medium-sized plane with 35 billion Black Giants.47
  • His terminal shows 23 missed calls from Viola and 3 from Clark, who is about to advance to the seventh level.48
  • Jie Ming re-modifies the Nest for mobility and the Prowlers for Strange-grade concealment.49
  • He uses the Temporary Enlightenment Technique, and a long-ordered world fragment arrives.50

F. The Tentacle Tree Civilization Invades the Infernal Sulfur Plane (Ch682-690)

  • A plane-wide red alert sounds as a fleet of 983 warships of a sixth-level technological civilization of sapient tentacle trees drives at the plane.51
  • Jie Ming lures them in by having the Black Giants fight just hard enough, resurrecting through the Dao Soldier System.52
  • When the fleet breaches the barrier, he stops time over all of it.53
  • The fleet is dismantled, its officers are interrogated and its database is read.54
  • Commander Varak realizes he has handed over his homeworld's coordinates.55
  • Jie Ming commands a ten-billion-strong elite legion under the seventh-level Black Giant king Molten Mountain, but as a fifth-level wizard he needs a sixth-level navigator fused with the plane origin to open the gate.56
  • He hires Viola for a full copy of the civilization's knowledge, and they depart.56

G. Counter-Invasion of the Tentacle Tree Homeworld (Ch691-700)

  • Jie Ming strips the plane origin's authority locks, and a border monitoring station sees the barrier breached.57
  • He tears a rift several hundred kilometers wide with his Second Layer Dharma Form, 500 km tall, and ten billion Black Giants charge through.58
  • The border fleet is crushed, and the main fleet, two orders of magnitude larger, jumps in and is annihilated.59
  • The civilization has no Plane Lord, so it cannot self-destruct its world.60
  • Jie Ming disperses the legion in groups of five to take every non-core planet at once.61
  • Darryl, a sixth-level Black Giant, breaks a star system alone.62
  • A Divine Armament, an ancient war armor sunk in a gas giant, turns up that the Tentacle Trees merely copied without understanding, guarded by a deliberately regressed jellyfish caretaker race.63
  • The Divine Armaments suggest a vaster and more ancient civilization hidden behind them.64
  • Jie Ming switches to seizing information and strikes the four core planets personally.65
  • He fights a planetary behemoth, 0-001, that knocks his Dharma Form back for the first time since Dao Integration.65
