Eric is a Mist Capital mill worker who becomes Jie Ming's student and a Spirit Medium carrying five Stranges.149 As Doctor Eric he runs the Noren Clinic, treating soul injuries far better than the Association's headquarters physicians.8 After Jie Ming's departure he takes up his teacher's plan for the fusion of humans and Stranges.11

A twenty-six-year-old maintenance worker at a Mist Capital textile mill, he lives in a ten-square-meter room in the old district after eight years at the mill with his hands crushed three times.1 His mother, a mill clerk, taught him letters and died in a roller accident when he was thirteen.1 Told since childhood he is "too sensitive", he owes his survival to a perception that lets him dodge accidents.2 He takes the used bookstore for a black clinic and resolves to save up and apprentice to a doctor.1
